I sail across the sea of life,

winds of happiness and winds of pain

emotions that are freely flowing and emotions that fall like rain

the sun doesn’t always set along the shore

but I see you in the distance always looking for more

always there like an umbrella

to protect me from Earth’s afflictions

I ride the waves with a smile on my face

I take them head on in their large embrace

for the waves are rough, but I will not sink
