On this day.
The sky was something new.
It lost the nostalgic glow.
Now a different shade of blue.
The lifetime I once lived.
Decorated and iced in a sad hue.
But still like the day before.
The milkman shatters his glass.
Blue collars leave to their homes.
And the pink Ford Sunliner drives away.
Except she is there, on this day. She’s always been.
